Sri Sathya Sai Baba was the sole trustee for both the trusts at Alike and at Muddenahalli.The day-to-day administration is managed by two different trusts,namely sri sathya sai loka seva trust alike and sri sathya sai Loka seva trust,Muddenahalli.These two trusts have a single Chair person and same board of trustees.But the regular activities are maintained by respective secretaries. SSSLST was earlier known as Loka Seva Vrinda, until Sri Sathya Sai Baba formally took over the two campuses, through a deed registered at Muddenahalli in August 1978.
